Line a 18cm diameter pan of vegetable paper.

Place chocolate in a bowl with butter, maple syrup and rum (if using) over a saucepan of boiling water (bain-marie).

Stir constantly until the ingredients are melted and mixed well.

Break the biscuits into pieces and throw them into the chocolate with cereal, nuts and cherries in pieces in pieces as well.

Mix and put into prepared pan. Smooth the surface with the back of a spoon. Refrigerate at least 4/5h. Turn out carefully, remove the paper and cut into squares with a knife
